Many of its highlights are on the important activities that truck driving entails such as keeping a proper record of logs (trip destinations, time travelled, etc.) as this is required by the Department of Transportation. Truck driving is an essential economic service as all goods are delivered by trucks in some way or another to their final destinations. Although goods such as automobiles, gravel, vegetables, fruits and canned goods are sometimes delivered partway by air, ship or train, trucking is the only means of transportation that can deliver all kinds of goods door-to-door.

The site’s database contains trucking firms who need the services of truck drivers with good pay rates. Job hunters can look for trucking jobs by type of equipment such as reefer vans, Lorries, flatbed and dry vans. There is a separate special category for tanker jobs (dangerous) and owner-operator truck driving jobs (a different pay rate). There is also a new drivers’ forum for discussion of common issues.

Summary: This site takes up the cause of truck drivers because this is a job that has very limited promotion opportunities. Any concession a truck driver gets is only in terms of maybe shorter routes and better driving schedules such as daytime instead of driving during night-time. High prices of insurance cover are also a major concern among truckers. Insurance premiums are getting more expensive because of increased theft, pilferages and accidents. Truck drivers are further exposed to such stresses as vibrations, excessive noise, long hours, and odd hours of driving and mental and emotional due to long absences from their families.
